FAQs

Updated: Jan 14

Here are the main Frequently Asked Questions I get asked when clients enquire about when they book and appointment.

The Appointment

Do you do home visits?

For Sports or Holistic Massages I am unable to offer home visits, the time taken to travel, unload the couch, set up, do the treatment, pack up and travel home is not cost effective. But I am able to do home visits on request for Emmett Therapy Treatments, and Scar Massage as a couch would not be required and set up is minimal. Please contact me directly if you live in or around Marden and would like an Emmett Therapy or Scar Massage Home Visit.

Where can I park?

I live next door to Marden Memorial Hall, the Parish Clerk has kindly agreed for my clients to park in the Car Park during their Treatment.

I have just booked for the first time, so do I need to complete the online form?

Yes, please complete the online consultation form, this form allows me to prepare for your Treatment.

You will find a link to the online consultation form on the email which confirmed your booking. You will be invited to update your consultation form every 12 months.

I have already had a Treatment with you, so do I need to complete the ‘Reason for visit’ form?

If you have rebooked to see me again to deal with original problem, you do not need to complete the form. If you have booked for a different problem, then please complete the form.

Will I been seen earlier, if I arrive earlier?

Please arrive at the time booked, I do not have a waiting room and I may still be with a client if you arrive early.

Which doorbell should I press?

As you come down the path you will see the side gate with my Business Logo on the gate. To the right of the gate is the doorbell you need to use. I will meet you there and escort you to the Treatment Room located at the bottom of the garden. Please do not ring my front door bell, as this confuses the dog and my husband.

What do I need to wear?

If you are having a massage, towels will be provided.  If you know you are having a treatment on your legs, it may be useful to bring or wear shorts.

What do I need to bring?

Some clients may require water after their Treatment, so please bring some water with you.

If you have been given a gift voucher and have had problems using it when booking your appointment, please bring the certificate with you and I can credit your client profile. It does not have to be printed if you have the email on your phone.

Will the Treatment hurt?

Muscles will be manipulated during the Treatment and it may cause discomfort, but many of my clients would agree to calling it ‘grateful pain’.

How do I pay for the Treatment? Can I pay by Cash?

A £25 deposit is required when booking online for the first time.  After the Treatment, payment can be made with the same card, after any discounts have been applied.

Here are other payment methods

If you prefer to pay by cash as a returning customer, you will be able to 'skip' to pay the deposit and then you will be able to pay by cash after the Treatment.
